“Karnataka Utsava Week”:
ಕನ್ನಡ ನನ್ನ ಕನಸು, ಕನ್ನಡ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು, ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನೆಂಬ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಸೊಗಸು, ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸು, ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸು.. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು..
November is the month, in which our beloved Karnataka state was formed. Remembering the golden heritage of Karnataka and being proud Kannadigas, the students of MSB Bangalore celebrated “Karnataka Utsava Week” from 21st to the 25th of November.
The celebration began with the recitation of the state Anthem ಜಯ ಭಾರತ ಜನನಿಯ ತನುಜಾತ recited by our students.
The young champs of Primary Section shared their thoughts about “Kannada”, they added new vocabulary words to the class word bank, enjoyed reciting the poem ಬಣ್ಣದ ಬುಗುರಿ, researched and wrote facts about Karnataka in Kannada.
Our Secondary learners displayed charts about historical places of Karnataka, riddles, and tongue twisters. They confidently performed skits highlighting the values of friendship, food donation, cleanliness, and discipline.
The students took part in the celebration with zeal and enthusiasm. They worked in groups and presented different activities during the school assembly.
Overall it was an amazing week with a variety of programmes. This celebration helped students to gain confidence, enhanced their Kannada speaking skills, developed their vocabulary, and most importantly instilled fondness and respect for our state KARNATAKA and its language.
